Want a healthy and sustainable lifestyle to be simple?
I’m owning the fact that this is a naive and simplistic thought:
I don’t know why everybody wouldn’t want
a healthy and sustainable lifestyle to be simple.
By simple, I don’t mean the extreme and intense programs you see plastered on social media and gossiped about with your friends. It’s not about…
- living in a constant state of being sore, hungry and exhausted.
- crushing 800 calories in a daily spin class for the rest of your life.
- signing up for a marathon because “running daily is the only thing that I found works for me.”
- snacking on some magical, recently discovered fruit from Guyana (seriously, it’s a thing).
- changing your diet every time the jet-stream shifts.
- swearing off alcohol for the rest of your life (but a drastic cut back is wise).
Today’s complicated version of living fit is a far cry from the healthy and sustainable days of old. It’s what we call the Avenu in30 Lifestyle:
- Sleep 7+ hrs regularly.
- Fill 1/2 your plate with veggies.
- Move for 30 minutes on most days.
You know there’s a big difference between “I don’t believe it’s true” and “I don’t want it to be true.”
If you don’t believe it’s true:
- Sometimes you just need more information, more evidence, or a difficult question answered. There’s something you need to read, see, or a story you need to hear.
- I get that, so I’m encouraging you to email me your questions
- Usually you feel this way about the Avenu in30 Lifestyle because it’s so simple there’s no complicated system to blame if you don’t succeed.
- I get that also, so read on:
- crush yourself every workout.
- punish…I mean willpower your way through a 12-day juice detox.
- over-caffeinate your day when 5.5 hours of sleep is the norm.
- train with tomorrow in mind.
- focus on getting 7+ hours of sleep most nights.
- eat like an adult who’s kids are watching and repeating your habits.
- follow the same simple and proven Avenu in30 Lifestyle plan for 6 months consistently to finally put to rest the lack of extremes you have to go through to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
I know it’s a naive to question why everybody wouldn’t want to live a healthy and sustainable lifestyle in the simplest way possible.
All I can do is to continue poking the bear with this repetitive, non-glamours message: Consistency is foundational
- Sleep 7+ hrs regularly.
- Fill 1/2 your plate with veggies.
- Move for 30 minutes on most days.
- Bonus: A drastic cut back on alcohol does your waistline, your heart and your health good.
